The technique and heat reach deeper soft tissue structures without having to apply painful pressure. Clients receive the beneficial effects of a deep tissue massage, without any soreness.

In particular, individuals suffering from fibromyalgia are of benefit to hot stones the heat of the stones allows the therapist to deliver massage without the need for excessive pressure. Hot stone massage is also helpful in relieving muscle restrictions after orthopaedic surgery. Hot and cold stones are particularly effective with sports injury or over-use injury. Hot stone placement is also used to relieve menstrual cramps

What Happens During a Hot Stone Massage?
Before you arrive, the stones are sanitized (very important!) and is heated in 120 to 135 degree water.
* During the massage, the therapist warms up the body with traditional Swedish massage, and then massages you while holding a heated stone. As the stone cools, the therapist replaces it with another.
* The therapist might also leave heated stones in specific points along your spine, in the palms of your hand, on your belly, or even between your toes to improve the flow of energy in your body as well as to help melt away tension.
